Procomp Rear Big Brake Kit

This kit is engineered for the Volkswagen MK4 Golf 1.8T, providing a substantial improvement over stock braking performance. The calipers are constructed from a one-piece, forged billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, ensuring lightweight strength and resistance to corrosion. They feature aluminum pistons with heavy-duty seals capable of handling racetrack temperatures, and an opposed-piston design for consistent pad wear. Standard inclusions for this kit are SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal performance for daily and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for those prioritizing extreme track performance, though these are not recommended for street use due to their high operating temperature requirements. The kit also features D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent line expansion under pressure for a firmer pedal feel and quicker response compared to stock rubber lines. Carbon steel caliper brackets are included to ensure proper fitment with the larger OEM caliper bracket locations. Customization options are extensive, allowing for various caliper colors, including standard options like Orange, Red, Black, and Yellow, as well as premium high-polish finishes in Silver, Gold, and Titanium, and various "Glassy" or "Hard Anodized" colors. Additional custom color finishes are available for an extra fee. Users can also upgrade the center bell to Titanium or choose from several Twin Color Anodized options.
