The Ksport Procomp Rear Big Brake Kit is a sophisticated, bolt-on brake upgrade system engineered to significantly enhance stopping power, particularly under sustained high-heat conditions, for the Volkswagen MK5 Golf GTI. Constructed with lightweight forged one-piece calipers made from aerospace-quality aluminum, this kit offers unparalleled strength and corrosion resistance. The calipers feature aluminum pistons protected by heavy-duty seals capable of handling racetrack temperatures, ensuring smooth operation and consistent pad wear. Opposed-piston design and high-temperature seals contribute to reliable performance, while titanium brake pad retainer clips and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates are standard. This design also minimizes warping due to heat expansion. This kit includes KSport's SC5 Street Pads, which offer optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade option to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The kit features D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which eliminate line expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel.
