The Ksport Procomp Big Brake Kit provides a significant upgrade to your Audi TT's braking system, specifically for 2006-2014 2WD models. This kit offers the ultimate in stopping power by integrating new brake technology to reduce brake fade and continuously cool the brake pads' surface under braking. The kit features an extremely lightweight, one-piece caliper, CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. This caliper weighs just over 5 lbs and includes protection grooves for bridge tubes, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel wear plates. The opposed-piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM designs. Reinforced carbon steel caliper brackets allow these larger-than-OEM calipers to bolt directly onto existing mounting points. The braking system utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly with an aluminum center to reduce rotational and unsprung weight, leading to quicker braking response and shorter stopping distances. Many applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing warping or cupping of the braking surface. The unique slot design on the rotor helps reduce braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more efficiently than conventional designs. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced before shipment for optimal performance. Slotted rotors are recommended for track use, while cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles and offer increased bite and continuous pad surface cleaning.
