Procomp Rear Big Brake Kit

This kit is designed for select BMW E36 and Z3 models, providing a crucial upgrade for performance-oriented driving. Unlike cast or welded calipers, this one-piece design eliminates weak spots, preventing fractures and warpage. The calipers are equipped with aluminum pistons, which offer better heat resistance and ensure consistent, drag-free operation thanks to their smooth sliding and opposed-piston design. Heavy-duty seals and high-temperature rated components are standard, maintaining uncompromised caliper operation even under demanding conditions. The two-piece rotor design offers lightweight construction and fade-free performance. The center sections are crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reducing rotational mass for quicker stopping and improved brake response. This design also minimizes the risk of rotor warping due to heat expansion. The kit includes either cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily drivers as they run cooler, or slotted rotors, advised for track use to manage heat, dust, and gases. The standard kit includes SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. This kit includes replacement calipers, rotors, SC5 Street Pads, D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, and related hardware. The braided lines reduce pedal expansion under pressure, leading to quicker response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. Carbon steel caliper brackets are also included to ensure proper fitment to OEM caliper bracket locations. The kit is available with custom caliper color options, including standard colors like Orange, Red, Black, and Yellow, with premium high-polish and custom finishes available at an additional charge.
