The IE ProCore Downpipe is engineered to enhance the exhaust system of the Audi B9 A4 and A5 models. It features a unique, in-house designed 4.75-inch, 200 CPI (Cells Per Inch) catalytic converter. This ProCore Catalyst utilizes specialized coatings containing rare and precious metals to filter and clean exhaust gases, aligning with factory emissions output and ensuring readiness monitors pass without triggering a check engine light. This advanced process allows for upgraded performance without the common CEL annoyance. The high-flow design of the downpipe is crucial for supporting significant power gains, particularly when paired with Stage 2 tuning and larger or hybrid turbochargers. It directly replaces the stock downpipe, which becomes a restriction on upgraded B9 2.0T engines, unlocking the full potential for horsepower, torque, and improved turbo spool. Installation is designed to be straightforward and DIY-friendly, with an average time of 2-3 hours and no requirement for cutting, welding, or permanent modifications. It offers a direct bolt-on fit to stock and hybrid turbos, as well as the stock or IE A4 Catback Exhaust System. Fitment is specifically for the Audi B9/B9.5 A4 and A5 models from 2017 to 2020. Dyno testing on a Stage 2 equipped B9 A4 with supporting modifications showed consistent power gains of up to 126 HP and 183 TQ over stock.
