Engineered by an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) that meets IATF 16949 standards, these pads offer an optimal braking solution with enhanced reliability. They feature an industry-leading number of friction formulations for maximum performance and extended pad life. The pads include a patented 4-layer HEX shim with aramid fibers to reduce noise and wear, as well as wear sensors for most European applications. Coated brake hardware and caliper pin grease are also supplied for nearly every application.

The Carquest Professional Platinum Euro brake pads are engineered to deliver optimal braking performance and reliability, leveraging an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) framework that adheres to the IATF 16949 certified standard. This ensures a high level of quality recognized internationally within the automotive industry. They undergo on-vehicle testing comparable to original equipment tests. A key feature is the patented 4-layer HEX shim technology, which has been upgraded with aramid fibers (similar to those used in bulletproof vests) to ensure quiet braking and minimize shim wear. For a faster break-in period, a burnishing compound is applied. The package includes PTFE coated hardware and caliper pin grease for nearly every application, facilitating easier installation and proper function. Wear sensors are also provided for most European applications that require them. The powder-coated backing plate enhances corrosion resistance. Key specifications include ceramic friction material, bonded attachment, and included abutment clips and adhesive-backed pad shims. The backing material is STEEL with a BLACK backing plate color. While brake lubricant is included, mounting hardware is not. The pad dimensions include an inner pad height of 98.3 mm and width of 251.7 mm, with a friction material thickness of 11.02 mm. The outer pad dimensions are similar, with a height of 98.5 mm and width of 209.8 mm.
