Programmable Engine Control Unit

The AEM Infinity Inf6Hon3 is a sophisticated engine control unit (ECU) tailored for Honda and Acura vehicles equipped with B, D, or H Series OBD1 engines. This unit replaces the factory ECU and offers extensive tuning flexibility, allowing for precise control over engine performance. It features advanced capabilities including airflow model-based (VE) tuning, flex fuel compatibility, and multi-fuel options. The ECU also includes an internal wideband O2 controller, a knock sensing circuit, and robust engine protection strategies, ensuring optimal performance and durability for racing applications. Designed for racing engines, the Infinity Inf6Hon3 provides up to 17 analog voltage inputs, 6 analog temperature inputs, 8 digital inputs, and 6 VR/mag inputs, alongside 2 on-board wideband air/fuel controllers, 2 high-side outputs, and 10 low-side outputs. It supports two-stroke and four-stroke engines, features 2-channel knock control, four-wire stepper motor control, and boost control. The ECU is built around a 200MHz automotive processor capable of 400 MIPS, ensuring rapid processing for complex tuning scenarios. This is a performance product and is not legal for sale or use on any pollution-controlled motor vehicle in California. It is intended solely for use on vehicles used in sanctioned competition which may never be used upon a public road or highway. Installation requires advanced knowledge of engine dynamics and tuning; misuse or improper tuning can result in engine destruction. The Plug & Play harness, essential for installation, is sold separately and connects directly to the vehicle's factory ECU harness, eliminating the need for cutting or splicing wires. For engines using a distributed ignition system, an optional ignition coil adapter is also available separately.
