Progressive Rate Front Coilover Spring

The Flyin' Miata spring set is engineered to enhance the handling and ride quality of your NB chassis Miata (1999-2005). These springs provide a balance between street performance and track capability, offering a refined ride while keeping the car off the bump stops. The design includes a section of tighter-wound coils that function as a secondary spring, ensuring the spring remains engaged even under full suspension droop. With front spring rates of 318 lb/in and rear rates of 233 lb/in, these springs are designed to be effective. The specified ride heights are 12.5 inches in the front and 13 inches in the rear, offering a modest drop that allows the suspension sufficient travel. For optimal performance and durability, Flyin' Miata recommends pairing these springs with performance shocks like the Koni Sport, as stock shocks may not adequately handle the increased spring rates. They are not compatible with coilovers like V-Maxxes. A special warning is issued for the 2004-2005 Mazdaspeed models equipped with stock Bilstein shocks. Due to the higher lower perch of these Bilstein shocks, the rear ride height may be elevated to approximately 13.5 inches. The springs are finished with a powdercoat containing a high zinc content for enhanced corrosion resistance.
