The Spoon Sports progressive spring set is a high-performance suspension upgrade designed to optimize the handling characteristics of the 2023+ Honda Civic Type-R FL5 and 2023+ Acura Integra DE5. Developed after extensive testing on various driving conditions, these springs aim to improve performance driving at all stages, enabling drivers to trace ideal cornering lines while maintaining street-worthy comfort. Featuring progressive spring rates, these components offer a 10% increase in stiffness over stock, with rates of 5.5 kgf/mm in the front and 5.0 kgf/mm in the rear. This design provides a sportier driving feel and increased traction for spirited driving, while also enhancing maneuverability and stability by reducing body roll. Installation of the Spoon progressive springs will lower the vehicle's center of gravity by approximately 20mm both front and rear, contributing to improved handling dynamics. The progressive nature of the springs, achieved through an irregular-pitched coil and barrel-shaped cross-section profile, allows for a lower initial load requirement. This feature enhances ride comfort during city driving, providing suppleness over road imperfections, while still offering the stiffer, more responsive handling demanded at higher speeds.
