Prolite Flywheel

The ACT XACT Flywheel Prolite 600430 is ACT's lightest flywheel, engineered to provide the lowest inertia for enhanced throttle response and acceleration. Ideal for road racing or rally applications, it offers a performance-oriented design that may result in reduced everyday drivability and a mild to moderate amount of gear rattle. The flywheel is constructed from a heat-treated forging for superior strength and toughness, complemented by induction-hardened ring gears for extended life. Featuring a one-piece construction, this Prolite flywheel ensures uniform heat transfer from the clutch disc, eliminating issues like warped inserts or loose ring gears. It is CAD-designed, CNC-machined, and dynamically computer-balanced for reliable performance at high RPMs. Made from Chromoly Steel, it has a flat friction surface configuration and an SFI 1.1 rating, making it suitable for racing use. The flywheel features 8 mounting holes and 164 teeth, with an 11-inch friction surface diameter. Mounting hardware is not included. This Prolite flywheel is recommended for race use. It is specifically designed to fit 1996-1998 and 2011-2017 Ford Mustang models. Fitment may extend to other specific configurations such as the Mustang GT and Cobra trims within these year ranges. Always verify compatibility with your specific vehicle application. The product is serviceable and can be resurfaced.
