ProLock Steering Kit

The Apex Chassis KIT370 ProLock Steering Kit is engineered to replace underperforming OE steering components on Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty 4WD models from 2005-2016. This kit replaces weak adjusting sleeves with tie rod and drag link ends that thread directly into the connecting rods. It features a proprietary ProLock Link Connect System, which creates a mechanical lock between the rod ends and adjusting sleeves using a precision-cut keyway washer and integrated set screws in the jam nuts, preventing unintended rotation and loosening. The connecting rods are available in either heavy-walled DOM steel or 7075-T6 aluminum. The tie rod is constructed from 2" DOM steel or 2.125" aluminum, while the drag link uses 1.75" DOM steel or 2" aluminum. The tie rod and drag link ends are forged from SAE 4140 Chromoly steel, induction heat-treated, and feature rolled threads for strength and smooth hardware movement. The assembly includes a metal-to-metal bearing design with CR rubber accordion boots for durability and articulation, and all components are greaseable via pre-threaded zerk fittings. Installation compatibility notes include that modifications may be needed for dual steering stabilizer kits. The Apex drag link is not compatible with the BDS Adjustable Trackbar due to potential contact. High mount steering stabilizers must be mounted in the OE position. For 2005-2007 models, a stock steering stabilizer is not compatible, and a lower mount or dual stabilizer kit is required. The kit is explicitly not compatible with wide track models.
