This sophisticated bolt-on system enhances the capabilities of the Procomp kit by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors for superior self-centering and reduced drag. The calipers themselves are forged from a single billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring lightweight construction, exceptional strength, and resistance to corrosion. Aluminum pistons are utilized within the calipers to improve heat resistance and maintain optimal performance. The floating two-piece rotor design allows the outer rotor section to shift slightly, promoting better self-centering within the caliper, which reduces brake drag and enhances performance through more even pad application. Ksport offers a wide range of custom caliper color options, from standard painted finishes like orange, red, black, and yellow, to premium high-polish finishes and custom color matching. This kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, which provide optimal braking performance for street driving and occasional track use. These pads offer a significant reduction in brake dust (50% or more compared to race pads), minimize noise, and reduce rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range between 194°F and 1022°F. Additionally, all Ksport Big Brake Kits include D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines. These lines prevent expansion under pressure, leading to quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. Buyers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles due to better cooling, while slotted rotors are recommended for track-focused applications.
