The Borla ProXS Universal Muffler (Part # 400489) is engineered to offer an improved exhaust note and performance for a wide range of vehicles. This muffler is designed with a 2.25" offset inlet and a 2.25" offset outlet, featuring an oval case measuring 4" x 9.5", a 14" long body, and an overall length of 19". Its universal nature and reversible design provide flexibility during installation. Constructed from premium T-304 austenitic stainless steel, this muffler ensures exceptional corrosion resistance and longevity. The 100% welded assembly guarantees robust strength, while the free-flow design is intended to enhance engine performance. Borla incorporates high-temperature continuous-filament fiber (CFF) acoustic material to effectively manage sound, delivering a desirable exhaust tone without excessive noise. Installation is simplified thanks to the notched necks, which are specifically designed for clamp-in applications using 1" wide band clamps (sold separately). For those preferring a welded installation, an alternative muffler with un-notched necks (Part # 40351) is available.
