This exhaust system utilizes Billy Boat's Purge Resonance Technology (PRT) to provide a mild tone during normal cruising while producing a forceful note during aggressive driving. The unique purge chambers allow for straight-through flow while canceling out unwanted interior drone.

The Billy Boat Performance Exhaust cat-back exhaust system is engineered for the MK6 GTI 2.0T, featuring their innovative Purge Resonance Technology (PRT). The construction utilizes CNC mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel tubing for durability and optimal flow. It incorporates dual PRT mufflers and culminates in polished 4-inch round stainless steel tips. The system is a complete bolt-on application, requiring no modifications for installation. According to one source, this exhaust system can provide power gains of +23hp and +24lb/ft of torque, along with reduced turbo lag. The PRT technology specifically aims to cancel out unwanted interior drone while allowing for straight-through flow.
