Its proprietary weave aids in even heat dissipation, preventing pipe overheating and hot spots. This wrap increases exhaust scavenging and lowers under-hood and intake temperatures by allowing exhaust gases to exit faster. It supports operating temperatures up to 1500°F with peak temperatures of 2000°F and is resistant to chemicals and oil.

The PTP Lava Exhaust Wrap is engineered from fragmentized fire-retardant volcanic rock, extruded into durable fibers for superior strength and performance. Its specialized weave promotes even heat dissipation, crucial for preventing exhaust pipe overheating and the formation of hot spots. By wrapping exhaust systems, this product facilitates faster exit of exhaust gases due to decreased density, leading to increased exhaust scavenging. The wrap supports continuous operating temperatures up to 1500°F, with a peak tolerance of 2000°F. It is also resistant to chemicals and oil, ensuring it will not shrink or lose flexibility even under extreme conditions. Compared to traditional fiberglass exhaust wrap, the PTP Lava Exhaust Wrap is 25% stronger and offers a 300°F increase in temperature protection.
