The PTP Black Lava® Exhaust Wrap is engineered from fragmentized, fire-retardant volcanic rock, extruded into high-strength fibers. This construction provides exceptional insulation and heat reflection, with a smooth, shiny finish. Its proprietary weave ensures even heat dissipation, preventing hot spots and overheating of exhaust pipes. By maintaining hotter exhaust gases, the wrap facilitates faster gas exit due to decreased density, leading to increased exhaust scavenging and a reduction in under-hood temperatures by as much as 50 percent, as well as lower intake temperatures.
