The Peterson Fluid Systems R4 Oil Pump is designed for motorsports, offering high performance and versatility. It features a twisted lobe rotor design for solid oil pressure even with high-temperature, low-viscosity oil, and scavenge sections for strong vacuum. Constructed with shallow depth screw-in fittings, profile machining, and aluminum rotors, it is lightweight. The pump has 5/8-inch steel drive shafts with a 3/16-inch keyway or a 3/8-inch male hex for various drives. A rear drive provision allows direct mounting of accessories like fuel, vacuum, or power steering pumps. Trusted by engine builders to protect and extend engine life by providing proper pressure and volume, it maximizes horsepower by creating crankcase vacuum and reducing oil pan windage.
