The Quik-Latch QL-38-SB hood pin kit is engineered for import performance vehicles, offering a mid-size option between the QL-25 and QL-50 series. This kit delivers the signature Quik-Latch push-button functionality while ensuring robust holding power for your hood. Its reduced physical presence provides a clean, integrated appearance, complementing custom builds. Constructed from durable 6061 T6 Aluminum and 303 Stainless Steel, the QL-38 series is built to resist corrosion and maintain its finish over time, ensuring a lasting aesthetic for your project car. Each latch boasts a holding force of 500 lbs, providing reliable security for your hood. The specifications for this low-profile hood pin system include a latch mechanism, retaining ring, stainless steel nuts and washers, and set screws. The latch itself has a height of 0.875 inches and a mounting flange diameter of 1.75 inches, requiring a 1.25-inch hole for mounting. The pin dimensions are a 3/8" ball with a 3/8 x 24 thread, designed to engage into the latch with 0.687 inches of travel.
