The Keihin PWK 28 carburetor is engineered for enhanced performance in motorcycle applications. This specific model is designed with user convenience in mind, featuring left-side access for the idle adjustment screw, choke, and air screw. It offers a 34 mm inlet diameter for optimal air-fuel mixture flow and a 49 mm diameter for air filter connection. This Keihin PWK 28 carburetor comes pre-equipped with a 42 pilot jet and a 118 main jet, providing a solid starting point for tuning. However, for specific performance tuning or if different jet sizes are required, these will need to be purchased separately. The carburetor is noted for its use in high-performance off-road motorcycles, including the Yamaha YZ 85. When identifying genuine Keihin PWK carburetors, look for subtle indicators such as a serial number imprinted below the PWK mark, dark pink PLAS TECH hoses, a "Motorcycle Race Use Only" label below the Keihin logo, and various quality control marks. Genuine Keihin jets should also have their size imprinted on them.
