The TiAL Q is a 50mm blow-off valve engineered for high-performance turbocharged and supercharged applications, including Paxton and Vortec supercharger setups. Its robust construction features a body and internal components CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum alloy, ensuring durability under demanding conditions. It is rated to support an impressive 1,800 horsepower with a single valve. The unit features a V-band design aluminum mounting clamp with stainless steel hardware for a secure and corrosion-resistant installation. Key internal components include a Viton O-ring valve seal, clamped in place for reliable operation, and a PTFE-lubricated, hard anodize-coated valve stem and guide for long-term wear resistance. Installation is facilitated by a machined aluminum banjo-type air fitting and bolt with an oversized 10mm hose barb, designed for quick actuator response. A high-temperature silicone, Nomex-reinforced diaphragm further ensures longevity. Each unit includes an aluminum weld base mounting flange cut for a standard 2-1/2 inch pipe. The TiAL Q is available with multiple spring options (2, 6, 8, 10, 11, and 12 PSI), including a dedicated spring for supercharged applications; note that spring ratings reflect idle vacuum level rather than boost pressure. It is also available in several anodized finishes: black, red, purple, silver, and blue. For optimal performance, a 1/4 inch inner diameter direct boost reference line to the intake manifold is required. Using smaller lines or T-fittings can lead to delayed response. It's important to note that removing a factory electronic diverter valve in favor of this externally actuated valve will trigger a P0035 check engine light on vehicles equipped with OE electronic BOV control. This fault code does not affect drivability or performance but may be undesirable for those seeking a clean dash display. This item does not ship to California due to emissions regulations.
