Q 50mm Blow-Off Valve

The TiAL Sport Q Blow Off Valve is a high-flowing 50mm valve designed to replace inadequate OEM bypass valves on modified engines. Installing an aftermarket BOV like the TiAL Q is beneficial when increasing boost or airflow, as it can hold very high boost pressures and release pressure quickly to prevent surge and power loss. The Q model is the first revision of the original TiAL BOV and bolts directly to any standard TiAL flange without requiring re-welding. Constructed from CNC-machined 6061 aluminum alloy, the Q features a 1.98-inch (50.5mm) valve and a V-Band design aluminum mounting clamp with stainless steel hardware for a durable and corrosion-free appearance. The valve seal is secured by a Viton O-ring, and the stem and guide are Teflon-lubricated and hard anodized for enhanced wear resistance. It includes a machined aluminum banjo-type air fitting with an oversized 10mm hose barb for rapid actuator response, powered by a high-temperature silicone Nomex-reinforced diaphragm for longevity. An aluminum or mild steel weld base mounting flange is supplied with each unit. This blow-off valve is suitable for turbo-charged and super-charged applications, including Paxton and Vortec systems. It is offered with a variety of springs for different vacuum levels, including a 2psi spring specifically for supercharged vehicles. The 6 psi spring is included as standard for a good balance. The specifications indicate a flange cut for a 2.5" pipe and available spring pressures of -2 (S/C), -6, -8, -10, -11, and -12 psi. Through extensive research and development, the TiAL Q is designed to flow 60% more air per cycle than the original design, making it the highest flowing BOV on the market and capable of supporting up to 1,800hp.
