Q 50mm BOV External Vented Blow-Off Valve

The TiAL Sport Q 50mm Blow Off Valve (BOV) is an external vented valve engineered for turbocharged and supercharged applications, including Paxton and Vortec setups. It offers universal fitment, directly bolting to any standard TiAL flange without requiring re-welding. The valve body and all internal components are precision CNC-machined from durable 6061 aluminum alloy, ensuring longevity. This BOV features the largest valve diameter in TiAL's lineup at 1.98 inches (50.5mm). The Q BOV is rated to support up to 1,800 horsepower on a single valve. A Viton O-ring valve seal is clamped in place to prevent sticking, and the PTFE-lubricated, hard anodize-coated valve stem and guide ensure long-term wear resistance. The actuator utilizes a high-temperature silicone Nomex-reinforced diaphragm for extended service life. Installation requires a 1/4 inch inner diameter direct boost reference line to the intake manifold for optimal performance; smaller lines or T-fittings can lead to delayed response. When replacing a factory electronic diverter valve with this externally actuated unit, a P0035 check engine light may appear on vehicles with OE electronic BOV control. This light does not affect drivability or performance, but an electronic plug-and-play valve would be a more suitable option if a clear dashboard is desired. The unit includes an aluminum weld base mounting flange cut for a standard 2-1/2 inch pipe and is available with spring options ranging from 2 to 12 PSI, including a dedicated spring for supercharged vehicles.
