QuadEGT 4-Channel Thermocouple Interface

The AMP EFI QuadEGT CAN Module is a high-precision, 4-channel thermocouple interface designed to provide professional-grade exhaust gas temperature (EGT) data for each cylinder. Key features include four K-type thermocouple inputs that support common miniature thermocouple sockets for flexible installation. The module boasts a rugged, sealed metal enclosure suitable for underhood environments, and incorporates cold junction compensation for high accuracy. It also features a selectable CAN bus termination resistor, easily enabled or disabled via a simple dip switch. Specifications for the QuadEGT module include a temperature range of 0 to 1250°C (32 to 2282°F), 16-bit hardware, open circuit and fault detection, and a 20ms broadcast rate. Communication is handled via CAN bus, with native support for AMP EFI and MegaSquirt systems (MS3Pro, MSPNP-Pro, MS3X, MS3) through CANEGT broadcast. For other ECUs, it supports 8 configurable CAN bus IDs, ensuring broad compatibility. Safety features integrated with MS3 ECUs include configurable over-temp warnings, AFR compensation to add fuel per cylinder based on EGT, and safe engine shutdown capabilities to prevent catastrophic failures. The kit options available are for 4, 6, or 8 cylinders, with varying numbers of Quad EGT CAN Modules and EGT probe kits included to match the engine configuration.
