Description
The US Shift Quick 2 is a standalone transmission controller based on the Quick 4's REVolution architecture, designed for hobbyists and shops needing a reliable and easy-to-use platform for modern electronic transmissions. This controller allows for the integration of transmissions like the GM 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70E, 4L80E, 4L85E, Ford AOD-E, 4R70W, 4R75, E4OD, and 4R100 into vehicles that do not have the OEM capability, such as classic cars, trucks, or motorhomes. It can also be used to enhance a modern vehicle's performance by taking over control from the OEM computer, granting the user direct adjustment of shift points, firmness, torque converter engagement, and other parameters.
The Gen2 Quick 2 features a new OLED user interface display that is bright, has excellent contrast, and a wide viewing angle, suitable for various mounting positions and temperature ranges. The UI provides real-time information such as PRNDL position, commanded gear, speed, and fault codes. Most adjustments, including shift timing, firmness, torque converter clutch engagement, and speed sensor settings, can be made directly through the built-in interface without needing a PC. Comprehensive diagnostic tools are integrated, with precise monitoring of each solenoid output and specific error messages to simplify troubleshooting. The redesigned circuit board is more power-efficient, runs cooler due to advanced thermal management, and includes additional protection circuitry against miss-wiring. Critical data is stored in a robust, high-temperature-rated EEPROM with error correction, rated for over 200 years of data integrity, while firmware is stored in enhanced flash memory. Configuration jumpers have been eliminated, with functions now changed via software, and new customizable outputs have been added. The controller also features improved engine RPM signal input for better compatibility with various ignition systems and eliminates the need for an external capacitor for the speedometer signal output.
Key features of the Quick 2 include its graphical user interface for easy adjustment of most settings without a PC, a simplified setup for immediate driving, and shift quality improvements that result in consistent, OEM-quality shift feel. It is also compatible with aftermarket torque converters. The controller supports multiple popular transmissions: GM 4L60E, 4L65E, and 4L70E (2008 and earlier only), GM 4L80E and 4L85E, Ford AOD-E, 4R70W (wide ratio AOD-E), and 4R75, as well as Ford E4OD and 4R100. It offers 100Hz data logging, off-road TCC control, burnout/drag race mode, multiple low-range capability, and an adjustable overheat alarm. The system is protected by US Patents #10,100,922 & #10,767,759 and comes with a 10-year warranty.
