Description
The US Shift Quick 6 Gen2 is a powerful, fully-featured, and user-friendly transmission controller based on REVolution architecture. It is specifically designed to enable the use of electronic 6R80 transmissions in a wide range of vehicles that lack OEM capability, such as classic cars, trucks, or motorhomes. It also enhances modern vehicle performance by taking control from the OEM computer, providing direct user adjustment of shift points, firmness, torque converter clutch engagement, and other parameters.
The Gen2 features a redesigned circuit board for improved power efficiency and cooler operation, along with enhanced protection circuitry against accidental miss-wiring. Data integrity for tunes and settings is ensured by a robust, high-temperature-rated EEPROM rated for at least 200 years of data retention. Firmware is stored in enhanced flash memory with error correction. The elimination of configuration jumpers means functions are now changed automatically in software, simplifying setup. New, customizable outputs have also been added, and the engine RPM signal input has been improved for broader compatibility with various ignition systems.
The new OLED user interface display is bright, offers excellent contrast, and has a wide viewing angle, making it ideal for various mounting positions. The UI provides real-time information on PRNDL position, commanded gear, speed, calibration table, and fault codes. Most adjustments, including shift timing, firmness, torque converter clutch engagement, calibration table switching, and speed sensor settings, can be made directly through the built-in interface without needing a PC.
Comprehensive diagnostic tools are integrated, with precisely monitored solenoid outputs and specific error messages to pinpoint issues. Advanced diagnostics data is accessible via the menu. The controller supports 2011 and newer Ford 6R80 transmissions and is compatible with aftermarket torque converters. It offers features such as a self-tuning process (US patent #10,100,922), unparalleled shift quality with customizable smooth light-throttle and quick full-throttle shifts, and the option to start in second gear for a close-ratio transmission feel. It includes advanced algorithms for shift control and synchronization, sophisticated torque converter clutch control, Accushift™ learning, adjustable throttle effects, burnout mode, up to 4 shift calibrations selectable on-the-fly, FLEX-SHIFT™ shifter re-mapping, transmission slip detection, and 100Hz data logging. Dedicated 4WD options are also included. The compact dimensions are 4.165 x 2.8 x 1.1 inches.
