The Fumoto F108S Engine Quick Oil Drain Valve is engineered to simplify and improve the oil change process. This compact ball valve replaces your standard oil drain plug and features a M16-1.5 thread pitch with a 16mm gasket diameter. Constructed from durable forged brass and stainless steel to exacting Japanese specifications, the F-series valve is built for a lifetime of reliable use. The F108S offers "One Touch Operation," allowing for clean and mess-free oil changes by safely lifting and turning the control lever. This design eliminates the risk of contact with hot oil, mitigates the common issues of stripped threads and frozen plugs, and significantly reduces the time required to complete an oil change. Additionally, its design is ideal for taking oil samples for analysis without needing to shut off the engine. Installation involves removing the original drain plug, draining the oil, and then inserting the Fumoto valve with its gasket into the port. It is crucial not to overtighten. Some oil pans may have recessed drain holes that could prevent proper installation; if the valve hits the pan wall before tightening, it should not be installed on that vehicle, though adapters may be available for certain models. After installation and refilling the crankcase, the valve can be operated by lifting and turning the lever 90 degrees counter-clockwise to open, and 90 degrees clockwise to close. Fumoto provides a Lifetime Limited Warranty against faulty workmanship and material defects to the original purchaser, covering replacement of any defective product. Note that the N-Series valve, which includes a nipple for a hose, is not recommended for passenger cars with low ground clearance, but the F108S features a short nipple suitable for such applications.
