Quick Release Clutch Quadrant & Firewall Adjusters Kit

The Steeda Quick Release Clutch Quadrant & Firewall Adjusters Kit is designed to address the inherent weaknesses of the factory self-adjusting plastic quadrant found in 1982-2004 Ford Mustangs. Under heavy-duty use or during rapid power-shifts, original plastic components are prone to bending, which leads to inconsistent clutch engagement, potential synchronizer wear, and eventual failure. This billet aluminum replacement provides a flex-free solution that maintains precise operation under performance driving conditions. The billet clutch quadrant incorporates a steeper ramp geometry, creating a faster pedal ratio that pulls the clutch cable more efficiently. This results in quicker clutch release and reduced pedal travel. While this design slightly increases pedal effort, the rapid release characteristics ensure faster, cleaner shifts. For enhanced usability, the kit includes a firewall-mounted adjuster that allows you to dial in clutch engagement without accessing the underside of the vehicle. It features a locking tab and an automatic locking mechanism to ensure the adjuster base remains secure once set. This system is compatible with both stock and aftermarket clutch cables. Important installation requirements must be noted: Steeda explicitly recommends the use of an adjustable clutch cable when installing these units for proper function.
