The K-Tuned Quick Release Hood Hinges offer a streamlined solution for accessing the engine bay of your 2002-2006 Acura RSX DC5. Designed with practicality in mind, these hinges allow a single person to quickly remove the hood without the need for tools. Once the hood is lifted beyond 75 degrees, it can be lifted straight off, while it remains securely held in place below that angle. Crafted from durable 6061 aluminum and finished with a hard anodizing process, these hinges are engineered for a long service life and resistance to wear. The patent-pending design has been years in development, aiming to eliminate the common struggle of two people trying to carefully remove a hood with basic tools, especially at track events. Installation recommendations suggest working on one hinge at a time to ensure proper hood alignment and prevent any contact with surrounding components. After both hinges are installed and functioning smoothly, the top lock pins can be removed. Note that a slight trimming of the weather strip is necessary for proper fitment.
