The Works Bell Rapfix GTC-R is a specialized quick tilt system engineered exclusively for competition vehicles, facilitating rapid driver changes. Its large, intuitive lever allows for effortless tilting of both the vehicle-side plug and the steering wheel-side socket, ensuring precise and efficient transitions. The system boasts a secure suspend function that holds the steering wheel at any angle and a convenient hold-down feature. Construction features precision steel ball bearings, which engage with precisely fitted recesses and tapered holes, powered by an internal coil spring. This ball locking system guarantees smooth, wobble-free hinge operation, mitigating common issues like rattling and wear during demanding driving conditions. The main structural components are crafted from aluminum alloy A2024T4, with the ball made from steel SUJ2 for durability. The Rapfix GTC-R is designed with specific mounting patterns for competition use. The plug mounting surface includes three PCD50.8mm holes with M5P0.8 screw holes. The steering wheel mounting area also features a 50.8mm PCD, accommodating six M5P0.8 tapped holes. For enhanced functionality, the system can optionally accommodate two electrical contacts for various electronic functions, and the steering wheel mounting surface provides convenient wiring escape routes. Extensive testing following NAPAC standards confirms the RAPFIX GTC-R's robustness. It successfully withstood specified bend and torsion loads with minimal permanent deformation. An internal test simulating 30,000 tilt-up and tilt-down cycles demonstrated its reliability, provided proper lubrication was maintained. This product is strictly for racing car applications only.
