When installing new rotors, it is recommended to replace brake pads and inspect calipers and brake hoses. Cleaning the hub face with a wire brush to remove rust buildup is crucial to prevent rotor runout and wheel vibration. Applying brake lube to caliper pins, clips, pad mounting tabs, and the back of pads ensures noise-free braking, but should not be applied to the friction side of the pads. Use a caliper piston compressor to retract pistons and ensure proper fit for new pads, monitoring the brake fluid level to prevent overflow.
