R3+ Performance Package

The RENNtech R3+ Performance Package is a comprehensive upgrade for the Mercedes X290 GT 63 (S) AMG 4-Door Coupe, leveraging its 4.0L V8 BiTurbo M177 engine for substantial performance gains. The Stage II Turbo Upgrade features larger, lightweight forged billet turbo wheels and increased turbine trim, designed to compensate for turbo lag and safely deliver up to 1,017 HP and 873 LB-FT of torque at the crank with 100 octane fuel. Extensive dyno and road testing have resulted in significant increases in the power band, particularly between 5,500 and 7,000 RPM, offering peak gains of +336 HP and +173 LB-FT. The turbos also provide quicker spooling, a more responsive throttle, and immediate power delivery. RENNtech measures stock performance at 681 HP and 736 LB-FT, with the R3+ package boosting output to 1,017 HP and 873 LB-FT at the crank (using 100 octane fuel). The package also offers up to 965 HP and 817 LB-FT with 93 octane fuel. Performance tests show notable improvements in acceleration, with 0-60 mph reduced to 2.44 seconds and 1/4 mile ET to 10.1 seconds. A critical disclaimer advises that with performance tunes exceeding 850 HP, replacing the stock connecting rods with RENNtech's stronger versions is strongly recommended to prevent engine failure.
