R460 Hybrid Turbocharger System

The 034 Motorsport R460 Hybrid Turbocharger System is engineered as a comprehensive, turn-key solution for the 8V Audi S3 and MkVII Volkswagen Golf R, aiming to deliver substantial horsepower and torque gains without compromising response or reliability. At its core is the LOBA LO462-EA888 Turbocharger, a German-made unit featuring a CNC-machined billet compressor wheel and re-profiled compressor and turbine housings for increased airflow and performance. This hybrid turbocharger provides more boost capability than the factory IS38, while maintaining quick spool and superb transient response. The system also includes 034Motorsport's proprietary ECU software, which is developed in-house and optimizes boost, fueling, and timing maps to safely extract power. This system offers impressive performance figures: on 104 octane fuel, it can achieve peak horsepower of 430 HP and 389 ft-lbs of torque, representing gains of up to 138 HP and 113 ft-lbs over stock. The software also increases the rev limiter to 7,200 RPM and removes the speed limiter. The R460 system is designed as a bolt-on replacement for factory components and is safe for factory engine internals. Installation of the R460 Hybrid Turbocharger System requires several supporting modifications, including a performance downpipe, intercooler, and air intake. For manual transmissions, an upgraded clutch is recommended, while DSG/S-tronic transmissions will require performance TCU software.
