The M7 Speed R53 Cold Air Intake is engineered to significantly improve your MINI Cooper S's engine efficiency and power by ensuring a supply of cold, dense air. The system utilizes a dual-stage, high-flow foam filter that is cleanable and re-oilable for a lifetime of service. This oversized filter is housed within a custom-manufactured, matte black powder-coated steel box. This cold air intake draws pressurized, cold air from the cowl area beneath the windshield. It connects to the stock intake piping via a velocity stack, transitioning from a 3-inch diameter at the filter to a 2.75-inch diameter at the engine side. The velocity stack smooths airflow into the intake tract, further enhancing efficiency. Notably, the installation requires no cutting or modification of factory parts, allowing the vehicle to be easily returned to its stock configuration if needed. The kit includes the cold air intake box, all necessary installation hardware, and a pre-oiled filter. This M7 Speed intake system is proudly made in the USA and is C.A.R.B. EO #D-766 listed, meaning it is legal for purchase, installation, and use in all 50 states and will pass state vehicle inspections. It is compatible with all Gen 1 supercharged MINI models up to the 2008 model year, including the Convertible (R52S) and Hatchback (R53) variants of the MINI Cooper S.
