R660 RED Ball Bearing Turbo w/ 0.81 A/R Turbine

The RV6 Performance R660 RED Ball Bearing Turbo is engineered for enhanced robustness and reliability, departing from the limitations of the stock TD04 format. This turbo utilizes an oversized TD05 bearing housing, approximately twice the size of the TD04, to accommodate a full-sized 8mm ceramic ball bearing. This design facilitates quicker spool times and handles increased thrust loads, contributing to extended longevity. Cooling is optimized through oversized coolant passages and -10AN coolant lines, ensuring efficient thermal management even under demanding conditions. The turbine housing features a 0.81 A/R ratio, significantly reducing back pressure between the turbo and the engine, which helps mitigate issues like unstable boost and overheating. Both the compressor and turbine wheels incorporate FEA-optimized blade designs. The compressor wheel is a lightweight, point-milled forged billet construction, while the turbine wheel and shaft are made from MAR-M Super Alloy, a material chosen for its superior ability to withstand higher temperatures and loads compared to standard Inconel used in OE turbochargers. This turbocharger is designed as a direct drop-in replacement and includes all necessary hardware and gaskets for installation, such as an M10x1.25 Titanium Stud Set with safety wire. It comes bundled with the RV6 Bypass Valve. However, it requires the FK8 Wastegate Actuator. Proper lubrication is critical, mandating a minimum engine oil viscosity of 0W-30 or 5W-30 for turbocharger longevity; RV6 reserves the right to deny warranty claims if non-compliant oil grades are used. The product is backed by a 1-year warranty. It has achieved 501 WHP at 26 PSI on test applications.
