The Takata Race 4 Snap Harness is a high-performance 4-point safety restraint engineered for track days, drifting, and show applications. It utilizes the exclusive Takata aluminum multi-point release cam-lock buckle for rapid entry and exit. A key safety feature is the integrated ASM (anti-submarining mechanism) on the right shoulder belt. In the event of a critical impact, the ASM system releases an additional two inches of webbing, allowing for controlled upper torso rotation to reduce the risk of submarining. The harness comes equipped with 3-inch shoulder belts and 2-inch lap belts with pull-up adjusters. Installation is facilitated by snap-on attachment brackets, which are sewn into the lap belts. The shoulder belt brackets are removable, allowing for installation on harness bars or roll bars using the provided 3-bar adjusters. While this harness comes as a 4-point configuration, it can be upgraded to a 6-point system with an optional sub-strap. Please note this harness is not street legal due to the cam-lock design.
