Overview

The Remus RACING GPF-back-system is a dual L/R exhaust designed for the VW Golf 8 GTI, Type CD, with a GPF.

This system features a sporty, sonorous exhaust sound and is weight-optimized. It utilizes high-grade material for durability and improved performance and torque. The REMUS tube diameter is 70 mm, compared to the original tube diameter of 65 mm. No vehicle modifications are required for installation. However, this is a RACING system and does not have EEC approval, meaning it is generally not permitted on public roads.

When installing this system on vehicles for closed-road use, tuning the ECU is advisable for maximum performance gains and to prevent the check engine light from illuminating.

Constructed with high-grade 303 stainless steel for the bodies and tubing, and 416 stainless steel for the tips (when selected), this exhaust system is built for longevity and performance. It features a larger Remus tube diameter of 70 mm, up from the original 65 mm, contributing to increased power and torque. Robotic MIG and/or TIG welds ensure superior strength and durability. Remus, a leading global manufacturer of aftermarket sport exhausts and an OEM supplier to major automotive brands, backs this system with extensive R&D, including sound testing in a sophisticated audio dyno room. It is compatible with the 2021 and newer Volkswagen MK8 Golf GTI and comes with a three-year unlimited mileage warranty. Note that while the system offers performance and torque increases, it is a 'Race' system and may not have an EEC approval, impacting its legality in certain regions or for emissions compliance.
