These Trimetal engine bearings combine advanced design, metallurgy, and engineering to deliver exceptional durability and performance. Key features include a high-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for enhanced fatigue resistance and hardened steel backs on all rod bearings to improve lining support and retention within the housing. Further enhancing their performance capabilities, these bearings offer increased crush for superior retention and greater eccentricity to mitigate bore distortion at high RPM, which also aids in forming hydrodynamic oil films. The set maintains tight, consistent wall tolerances crucial for precise engine clearances, and features enlarged ID chamfers on bearing edges to accommodate the large fillet radius found on performance crankshafts. ACL has a rich history in motorsports, with their RACE Series bearings tracing their roots back to Formula 1 in the 1960s. The set is compatible with Honda F20C, F22C (1997cc, 2157cc Inline 4), and Honda H22A, H22Z (2157cc Inline 4) engines. It's important to note that piston rings, main bearings, and rod bearings are non-returnable once the manufacturer’s seal or shrink-wrapped plastic has been opened. Professional installation is strongly recommended, and the buyer assumes all risk of damage resulting from improper installation.
