Overview

The ACL Race Series 7M1532H is a set of upper and lower main engine bearings designed for high-performance applications. These bearings are constructed with F780 material and feature a high-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties.

The bearings are designed to withstand higher RPM conditions, with features like increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion and 3/4 grooved main bearings for optimized oil flow. They also offer tight, consistent wall tolerances for precise clearance maintenance.

The ACL Race Series 7M1532H main engine bearings are engineered for demanding, high-performance applications, offering a no-compromise solution for engine builders. These bearings utilize a Trimetal construction, featuring a high-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness to enhance fatigue properties. Key design elements include increased eccentricity, which helps to adapt the bearing's shape and compensate for bore distortion during high-speed operation, thereby assisting in the formation of hydrodynamic oil films. The 3/4 grooved main bearings are optimized to maximize bearing load carrying surface area and ensure adequate oil flow to the connecting rod bearings. Furthermore, these bearings boast tight and consistent wall tolerances, which are crucial for maintaining precise oil clearances. Other performance-enhancing features include hardened steel backs on all rod bearings for improved support and retention, increased crush for better retention, and the elimination of flash plating on the back to improve heat transfer and maximize grip between the bearing and its housing. Enlarged ID chamfers are incorporated where necessary to accommodate large fillet radius on performance crankshafts. The specifications for the STD size include an oil clearance range, upper and lower half type, F780 material, and precise shaft and tunnel size measurements.
