The Checkerd Sports Race Steering Boss v2.2 is an extended steering wheel adapter designed for specific Honda and Acura models. It allows for the steering wheel to be positioned further back for improved driver preference. The adapter is machined from billet aluminum with a light hand polish.

The Checkerd Sports Race Steering Boss v2.2 is an OG extended steering boss adapter, meticulously machined from billet aluminum with a light hand polish. Measuring approximately 4.25 inches from the column cover to the steering wheel, it offers a significant extension. This steering boss is intended for race purposes only and will replace the original SRS airbag steering wheel. Consequently, the SRS airbag system, cruise control, and horn button will no longer function. It is not a collapsible design. The adapter is engineered to be compatible with most aftermarket steering wheels featuring a 6-bolt hole pattern, including popular brands like OMP, Spoon, Mugen, Momo, Personal, and Nardi. It will also work with most 6-bolt quick-release systems. Note that Momo horn buttons require a Momo horn ring, and other brands like Nardi or Keys may not be compatible for horn button mounting. Wiring for the horn button is not included, rendering it purely cosmetic. Available in two finishes: Raw Aluminum (raw aluminum with a light hand polish) and Matte Black (black anodized). Black bolts are included with the purchase. Proper installation is critical; ensure the "top" marked dot is centered at the top and that the slots on the back of the boss align with the blinker mechanism.
