The CSF Race X Charge Air Cooler Manifold (CSF #8400C) is engineered to enhance the performance of BMW Gen 2 B58 engines. This all-aluminum manifold boasts a significantly improved cooling capacity, featuring 15 cooling rows and a core that is 25% larger than the CSF 8200 unit. This increased surface area and row count contribute to more efficient heat transfer, helping to keep intake air temperatures lower. It is designed as a direct replacement, though it is important to note the specific fitting size. This model includes a -16 ORB bung on the front water plate, which is the largest fitting size available for this application, allowing for robust fluid connection. CSF offers a wide array of custom finishes for this manifold, including various powder-coating colors and advanced Thermal Dispersion Coatings. These options allow for both aesthetic customization and enhanced thermal performance, with the Thermal Dispersion Coatings being particularly effective for drawing heat away from the component.
