The Ducati Performance Racing Camshafts are a replica set designed to fit all 1000cc to 1100cc 2-valve Ducati engines, including models like the Paul Smart, Hyper, S2R, Monster, SS, Classic, and GT. These camshafts are engineered by Ducati for sport-race applications, delivering their best performance in the mid and top-end RPM ranges, though this comes with a reduction in lower-end torque compared to other options. This product is a replica of the original Ducati Performance race cams, which are no longer available. The manufacturer also advises that for sporty riders, if using these sport or race cams, cast pistons (standard on 900cc up from '98, and 1000-1100cc 2-valve engines) should be changed to forged Pistal pistons. Additionally, MBP special valve collets are recommended when using sport or race cams.
