This kit ensures reliable engagement and disengagement, enhancing overall vehicle drivability and performance. Constructed with an aircraft-grade billet aluminum pressure plate, this clutch system offers both strength and lightweight performance. The friction disc is equipped with a dual-segmented organic/carbon composite lining, designed for superior cooling capabilities and an impressive torque capacity of up to 713 ft-lbs. The assembly features a patented ball bearing actuated diaphragm and centrifugal weighting, which work together to deliver maximum grip while maintaining a manageable pedal feel for street use. The kit is SFI Spec 1.1 approved. Installation is designed as a direct replacement for specified vehicles, requiring no drilling or modification, and is suitable for experienced technicians. The kit includes the clutch assembly, disc, and alignment tool, along with a throwout bearing, input shaft bearing retainer collar, throw out bearing arm, input shaft seal, and clutch fork pivot ball. This clutch kit is specifically designed to fit 1979-1995 5.0L Mustang models, 1996-1998 Mustang Cobra, and 1996-2001 Mustang GT versions, addressing the unique requirements of these vehicles for optimal performance and reliability.
