Racing Drop-In Camshafts

The Skunk2 Racing Drop-In Camshafts are designed as a performance upgrade for stock or near-stock vehicles equipped with 3-lobe VTEC K-series engines. Skunk2 manufactures these camshafts in-house, ensuring the highest quality and performance through rigorous testing. Each camshaft is constructed from a proprietary forged tool steel core, providing increased torsional strength, improved durability, and reduced frictional effects. Utilizing state-of-the-art CNC cam grinding machines with cubic-boron grinding wheels, all Skunk2 camshafts are ground to exact specifications. They feature hardened, wear-resistant lobes and surfaces for enhanced longevity. This results in greater efficiency, more power, and unmatched response from idle to redline. Fast Ramp technology, also used in Formula One racing, reduces seat timing, leading to additional cylinder pressure and more torque while maintaining valvetrain longevity. These camshafts are compatible with OEM valvetrain components. For forced induction applications, Pro XP Valve springs (P/N 311-05-7380) and Titanium Retainers (P/N 308-05-0410) are recommended. The specifications include a variable intake centerline, 108° BTDC exhaust centerline, and valve clearance of .008” / .010” for intake and exhaust respectively. The RPM range varies depending on the application. Applications include most K-Series applications, such as the Acura RSX (2002-2006 Type-S), Acura TSX (2004-2008), and various Honda Civic and CR-V models with K-series engines. The package includes one intake camshaft and one exhaust camshaft.
