The Idemitsu Racing Rotary 10W-30 is a fully synthetic engine oil specifically engineered to meet the unique demands of high-performance rotary engines, including those with turbo and supercharged applications. Its advanced formulation is built upon a precise blend of PolyAlphaOlephins (PAO) and PolyEsters, which work together to minimize deposits on apex seals, ensuring better chamber sealing and facilitating more power generation. Key additives are specially developed to facilitate even tooth load on the front stationary gear, allowing for higher loads and RPMs. Premium anti-wear agents create a robust film between the main bearings and the eccentric shaft, significantly reducing metal-on-metal contact and minimizing bearing wear. Furthermore, the formulation is developed to reduce entrained gas generation, which can compromise the oil's ability to prevent metal-on-metal contact and lead to increased main bearing wear. The inclusion of Molybdenum as a friction modifier is a significant feature. This compound reacts with metal surfaces to create a low-shear boundary, which directly reduces friction, thereby increasing engine efficiency and power output. This oil boasts a High Temperature High Shear (HTHS) viscosity of 3.46 and a Cold Cranking Simulator (CCS) viscosity of 164 at -25°C, with a pour point of -45°C.
