The NGK R7436-9 is a high-performance racing spark plug engineered for demanding, high-revving engine environments. By utilizing an iridium center electrode paired with a platinum ground electrode, this spark plug offers enhanced ignition performance and reduced electric discharge voltages. The design also includes specific anti-smoldering and anti-fouling characteristics to maintain consistent operation in competitive racing formats. Technical specifications for the R7436-9 include a heat range of 9, a 14mm thread diameter, and a 16mm hex size with a BC-E (JIS) type configuration. It is built with a resistor and features a 0.6mm electrode diameter. These plugs are sold individually, so users should adjust quantities based on the specific engine requirements. This spark plug is compatible with various high-performance applications, including 1989-2002 Nissan Skyline models equipped with RB20DET or RB26DETT engines, as well as 1993-2002 Toyota Supra models.
