The Akrapovic Racing Exhaust system, part number SMH6SO7T, is a slip-on exhaust designed for riders seeking enhanced performance and a racing aesthetic. Crafted entirely from titanium, this system includes a megaphone-shaped muffler that delivers a pure racing sound. The laser-engraved markings on the sleeve are highly durable. Performance measurements indicate that while the system follows the stock power curve at lower RPMs, it adds significant power from 5000 rpm upwards through the entire rev range. The torque increase is also spread throughout the entire RPM range, complementing relaxed everyday riding. Beyond an additional 2 HP, riders benefit from substantial weight savings, as the full titanium system weighs only 0.39 kg. The configuration consists of hand-welded conical titanium tubes and a megaphone muffler. The link pipe connects to the header tube via a sleeve joint with a stainless steel clamp, and the muffler attaches to the motorcycle using a welded bracket. A removable noise damper is included, which can be used to reduce noise levels to an acceptable range, although the system is explicitly stated as NOT STREET LEGAL due to its loudness.
