The Racingline VWR18G700 is an essential engine oil cooler kit designed for hard-driven MQB and MQB 'Evo' 2.0 TSI vehicles operating at high power levels or in hot climates. The system features a 10-row stacked-plate oil cooler core for maximum heat dissipation, combined with a billet CNC non-return sandwich plate that installs beneath the factory oil filter housing. This sandwich plate includes an integral pressure relief valving system to protect against pressure spikes and a clever internal pressure-control valve to ensure correct oil flow volume to the cooler. Constructed from T6 6061 CNC aluminum with a gloss-anodized finish for durability and aesthetics, the kit includes AN10 210 Series stainless steel, nylon-braided feed and return lines. The oil cooler is optimally located behind the front lower grill aperture for maximum airflow, and the kit comes with two bracket options: one for Audi S3 8V models and another for all other MQB & MQB 'Evo' vehicles. Mounting the brackets requires drilling bolt holes through the front crash bar. Unique to this kit is a high-flow, reusable stainless steel micronic filter with magnetic pre-filtering, offering five times the flow of comparable paper filters and enhanced contaminant removal. The filter housing features a left-hand threaded cap for easier oil changes. Racingline advises against immediate installation on newly rebuilt engines (non-factory) due to assembly chemicals potentially blocking the filter; a 1000-mile break-in period followed by a full oil flush and change is recommended before installation. Fitment is confirmed for a range of Volkswagen Golf R, GTI, Passat, Arteon, T-Roc, Tiguan II, and Jetta/GLI 7 models, primarily focusing on 2.0 TSI engines from 2013-2020+ and specific Audi models like the S3 8V.
