AFCO's 81 Series Stock Mount Shocks are gas shocks designed for dedicated tuners seeking a stock mount option without costly servicing equipment. Engineered for GM A/G Body Style cars (73-88) in their original location, GM Metric, and GM Full/Mid Size, these shocks offer optimized lengths for IMCA and other sanctioning body compliance. Available in front and rear mount with multiple valving choices, they can be custom built. Specifically designed for Southern Sport Mod, Hobby Stock, and Street Stock cars, the large body front shocks feature a 44mm piston to reduce fade and heat. Shorter front shocks allow for lowering the front end, improving stability. Maximum 21” extended-length rear shocks enhance handling and forward bite. The 81 Series features a shock tuner-friendly design, no external fill port, IMCA legality, and options for standard or custom valving with linear or digressive pistons. Front shocks have a large body for heat and fade minimization, a ½\" diameter shaft, and compression/rebound options from 0-20.
