Radi-CAL Competition Front Brake Kit

The AP Racing by Essex Radi-CAL Competition Brake Kit provides a significant upgrade for the front braking system of all C6 Corvettes. This kit includes AP Racing CP9668 Radi-CAL six-piston calipers, renowned for their advanced design and construction. The calipers feature an Electroless Nickel Plated (ENP) finish, offering exceptional durability, ease of cleaning, and a striking aesthetic. The kit incorporates 355x32mm, 72-vane AP Racing J Hook racing discs with fully floating 6061 hard anodized aluminum hats. A key benefit of this competition kit is its reduction in unsprung weight. It saves approximately 15 pounds from the front of base C6 Corvettes and 18 pounds from C6 Z06 models, contributing to improved handling and responsiveness. The CP9668 calipers are designed to accommodate 25mm thick brake pads, offering a larger pad surface area for enhanced heat capacity and reduced frequency of pad changes, making them ideal for multi-hour endurance racing. While brake pads are not included to allow for personal preference, the caliper shape is compatible with a wide range of manufacturers and compounds, with Essex recommending the 54mm radial depth version to prevent premature disc cracking. The kit also includes Spiegler Stainless Steel Brake Lines with an abrasion-resistant coating.
