The Volkswagen radiator serves as the primary heat exchanger in your vehicle's cooling system, efficiently expelling heat from the coolant to the surrounding air. When your vehicle exhibits signs of a leaking or damaged radiator, replacement is essential to prevent overheating, which can lead to severe engine damage. Radiators can fail due to cracked end tanks, or become inefficient if their fins are bent or clogged with debris. It is recommended to inspect and potentially replace the upper and lower radiator hoses concurrently with the radiator. Symptoms of radiator failure include coolant leaks, overheating, cracking, bent fins, or clogged fins. This radiator is compatible with a range of Volkswagen Golf/GTI Mk4 models from 1999.5-2005 (including 1.8T, 2.0L, TDi, 12v VR6, and 24v VR6 engines), VW Mk4 models from 1999.5-2005 (12v VR6, 1.8T, 2.0L, TDi, GLI 24v VR6, and R32), VW Mk5 models from 2006-2009 (TDi), and also fits various Audi TT Mk1 models (1998-2007) with 1.8T engines (180HP and 225HP variants).
